The grand winners for our Moon contest are Wiktoria, Kuba, Jga, Wiktoria, Kacper, Olek and Julia from Olsztyn, Poland! Congratulations! They will soon be receiving a special prize from ESA and Despicable Me!
ESA Kids received 60 entries for last month’s Space Gallery contest. The artwork received consisted of drawings, collages, models, sculptures, and videos! Participants came from 14 different countries, and we are pleased to say that the creativity and imagination shown by the children is amazing. Congratulations to all!
More runners-up were chosen this month, as we had all kinds of goodies from Despicable Me to give away. The first is 5 year-old Mikotaj from Poland, who sent us a sculpture of the Moon made of plasticine. Next runner-up is Ambrogio from Italy, who sent us a video of his Lego model of a spacecraft orbiting the Moon.
Tudor, Vlad, and Robert’s (Romania) model of ‘Travel from Earth to Moon’ was chosen as next runner-up, as well as Martynka’s and Kacper’s (Poland) ‘First flight of man to the Moon’ model, and ‘Phases of the Moon’.
Children of Sovicky in the Czech Republic sent us a beautiful model representing footsteps on the Moon, Filipe (Portugal) designed the Moon’s orbit around the Earth, Gianmarco (Italy) created a realistic Moon out of clay, and Julia (Germany) a rocket going to the Moon .
The winning artwork is now published in our Space Gallery.
Thanks to all who participated… and good luck with this month’s Sun competition!
