As Mars Express flew over<\/h2>\n

Questa animazione mostra il segnale della discesa di Phoenix, registrato dal sistema MELACOM.<\/p>\n

The spike in the animation, between frequencies of 7 and 8 kiloHertz, shows the transmission from Phoenix itself.
The lander can be seen in the animation starting from about 342 s after the start time and disappears at about 1085 s. This shows Mars Express picking up on the Phoenix signal and tracking it while closing in on the lander; the closest Mars Express got to Phoenix was 1550 km.
As Mars Express flew away, the lander deployed its parachute, separated from it and landed, the signal from the lander was cut off.<\/p>\n

La sonda compare nell'animazione dopo circa 342 secondi dall'inizio e scompare dopo circa 1085 secondi.Questo mostra Mars Express che riceve il segnale di Phoenix e lo segue mentre si avvicina alla sonda; Mars Express \u00e9 arrivato fino a 1550 Km di distanza da Phoenix.<\/p>\n

Mentre Mars Express si allontanava, la sonda ha aperto il paracadute, si \u00e8 staccata da esso ed \u00e8 atterrata. A questo punto il suo segnale si \u00e8 interrotto. Lo spostamento del picco che si vede nell'animazione \u00e8 dovuto al cosiddetto effetto Doppler, che \u00e8 molto simile al fischio di un treno che passa. Il segnale \u00e8 stato seguito con successo, anche durante la prevista fase di blackout della trasmissione, fino a quando la sonda \u00e8 scomparsa dalla visuale di Mars Express.<\/p>\n
