Junto con dos CubeSats \u2014Milani, la \u00abdecodificadora de rocas\u00bb, y Juventas, la \u00abvisionaria del radar\u00bb\u2014, Hera se embarca en una aventura para explorar Didymos, un sistema de asteroides dobles t\u00edpico de los miles que suponen un riesgo de impacto para la Tierra.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>En septiembre de 2022, la nave espacial DART de la NASA comprob\u00f3 si era posible desviar un asteroide d\u00e1ndole un empuj\u00f3n\u2026 \u00a1y descubri\u00f3 que s\u00ed! Un conocimiento importante, si queremos evitar correr la misma suerte que los dinosaurios. Los astr\u00f3nomos pueden observar desde lejos c\u00f3mo ha cambiado la \u00f3rbita del asteroide m\u00e1s peque\u00f1o desde el impacto de DART, pero a\u00fan falta una pieza del rompecabezas si queremos comprender plenamente c\u00f3mo funciona en la pr\u00e1ctica el \u2018impacto cin\u00e9tico\u2019.
