Odtud v\u011bdci zkoumaj\u00ed glob\u00e1ln\u00ed probl\u00e9my, jako jsou klimatick\u00e9 zm\u011bny a stoupaj\u00edc\u00ed hladina mo\u0159\u00ed. Dv\u011b dru\u017eice ESA, Sentinel-1 a Sentinel-2, pozorovaly z ob\u011b\u017en\u00e9 dr\u00e1hy oblast kolem z\u00e1kladny Halley VI. Objevily velkou trhlinu, kter\u00e1 se objevila v ledu! Jeliko\u017e byla objevena v \u0159\u00edjnu, dostala p\u0159ezd\u00edvku \u2019Halloweensk\u00e1 trhlina\u201c. Tato trhlina ohro\u017eovala \u017eivoty v\u011bdc\u016f, a proto bylo rozhodnuto o jejich evakuaci a uzav\u0159en\u00ed z\u00e1kladny Halley VI na zimu.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>Je pom\u011brn\u011b b\u011b\u017en\u00e9, \u017ee se na ledov\u00fdch \u0161elfech objevuj\u00ed mal\u00e9 trhliny a n\u011bkdy se z jejich okraje odlom\u00ed kusy, kter\u00e9 spadnou do mo\u0159e a stanou se ledovci. Trhlina \u201eHalloween Crack\u201c, kterou zachytily satelity Sentinel, v\u0161ak byla velk\u00e1 a st\u00e1le se zv\u011bt\u0161ovala \u2013 a\u017e o 600 metr\u016f denn\u011b! Laborato\u0159 Halley VI je sice navr\u017eena tak, aby ji bylo mo\u017en\u00e9 p\u0159esunout pry\u010d od trhlin v ledu, ale \u201eHalloween Crack\u201c se klikatila tak nep\u0159edv\u00eddateln\u00fdm zp\u016fsobem, \u017ee pobyt v\u011bdc\u016f v laborato\u0159i byl velmi riskantn\u00ed. V zim\u011b, kdy teploty klesaj\u00ed a\u017e na -55 \u00b0C, jich tam z\u016fst\u00e1v\u00e1 m\u00e9n\u011b ne\u017e 20. Je to vlastn\u011b prvn\u00ed zima, kdy je stanice zcela uzav\u0159ena!<\/p>\n<p>Sn\u00edmky po\u0159\u00edzen\u00e9 satelity Sentinel n\u00e1m nejen\u017ee mohou zachr\u00e1nit \u017eivoty v\u011bdc\u016f, ale tak\u00e9 n\u00e1m pom\u00e1haj\u00ed l\u00e9pe porozum\u011bt ledov\u00fdm \u0161elf\u016fm a tomu, jak rostou, zmen\u0161uj\u00ed se a praskaj\u00ed.<\/p>\n<p>Zaj\u00edmavost: Sentinel-1 je vybaven radarov\u00fdm sn\u00edmkovac\u00edm syst\u00e9mem, d\u00edky \u010demu\u017e m\u016f\u017ee po\u0159izovat sn\u00edmky i v temn\u00fdch zimn\u00edch m\u011bs\u00edc\u00edch, kdy nen\u00ed dostatek sv\u011btla pro po\u0159izov\u00e1n\u00ed b\u011b\u017en\u00fdch fotografi\u00ed.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Deep in Antarctica is a cutting-edge laboratory called Halley VI.
