T\u00e9m\u011b\u0159 v\u0161echny meteority poch\u00e1zej\u00ed z hlavn\u00edho p\u00e1su asteroid\u016f mezi Jupiterem a Marsem. A\u010dkoli jsou v\u011bt\u0161ina asteroid\u016f od sebe odd\u011blena tis\u00edci kilometry pr\u00e1zdn\u00e9ho prostoru, ke sr\u00e1\u017ek\u00e1m doch\u00e1z\u00ed pom\u011brn\u011b \u010dasto.<\/p>\n

N\u011bkdy se m\u016f\u017ee cel\u00fd asteroid rozpadnout. V\u011bt\u0161inou se v\u0161ak odlom\u00ed jen n\u011bkolik mal\u00fdch \u00falomk\u016f. Tyto \u00falomky putuj\u00ed vesm\u00edrem miliony let, dokud je nezachyt\u00ed gravita\u010dn\u00ed pole n\u011bjak\u00e9 planety.<\/p>\n

Pokud p\u0159e\u017eij\u00ed ohnivou cestu vzduchem a dopadnou na povrch planety, stanou se z nich meteority. Na Zemi bylo nalezeno mnoho tis\u00edc meteorit\u016f.<\/p>\n

D\u00edky studiu t\u011bchto hornin se v\u011bdci dozv\u011bd\u011bli mnoho o st\u00e1\u0159\u00ed a vzniku Slune\u010dn\u00ed soustavy. U n\u011bkter\u00fdch meteorit\u016f se prok\u00e1zalo, \u017ee poch\u00e1zej\u00ed z M\u011bs\u00edce nebo z Marsu.<\/p>\n

\u017delezn\u00fd meteorit Hoba z ji\u017en\u00ed Afriky je nejv\u011bt\u0161\u00ed na Zemi. M\u00e1 pr\u016fm\u011br 10 metr\u016f a v\u00e1\u017e\u00ed 60 tun.<\/p>\n
